A lot of other corps have good players too. But we're not talking about good PvP skills. We're talking about totally sweeping the game. They now own nearly half of 0.0 (that what it appears on that map), and they're still on the move. And I'm told that they have just a staggering number of POSs compared to any other organization (does anyone know where that info can be confirmed or refuted?).
Yes I cheated as a kid. So what? Someone shot Kennedy too. I'm talking about a developer who cheated on behalf of the organization that - just as a coincidence I'm sure - happens to be the premiere butt kicker in this game.
And the bottom line that the CCP defenders are missing is this - if BoB continues to sweep, then people will start to leave in significant numbers. I'm staying for now, but there's going to be a limit to how much coincidence I'm willing to accept. If BoB truly dominates the game, new players will stop buying and old players will begin to leave. And at some point Eve will end. In the meantime, any success by BoB is permanantly tainted, because we do NOT know the limit of the cheating, we ONLY know that the lying, reckless cheater CLAIMS the scope of the cheating was limited. AND, the person who UNCOVERED the cheating, he has always claimed that the cheating was far greater than what was admitted.
Do you REALLY believe it is coincidence that the #1 group in this game just happens to be the group that had a cheating Dev on it's team?
EDIT - DOES anyone know where some info can be found about corps, how many POSs, etc.? A tremendously lopsided tally would be further evidence of cheating.
I like to tinfoil more than some do, and I've not been overly charitable to some of BoB in these threads recently. However, I have to point a few things: 1)pos's are very boring to run. Very boring. Most corps have to whip their players to run pos's. They're THAT boring (unless you REALLY like buggy and clumsy crafting systems, that is). 2)Old friends went to BoB from one of my old corps because a) they didn't seem to mind running a pos (still haven't figured that one out), b) it was a way to join 0.0 without begging (BoB was building a LOT of POS's 1.5 years ago, irrc) c) BoB paid it's POS tenders very well to do so... very well...
Please don't mistake BoB for being stupid or disconnected from the game. The leadership is dialed in (in a legal sense that is). I see trends all the time, and I imagine BoB does too... just more of them, since there are more of them than me; oh, and they use their huge membership to act on those trends. That's an excellent use of an alliance ;P
I don't fault BoB for being rich or savvy about Eve. Neither should you.
